Coach Wilke was first introduced to lacrosse his
freshman year at Klein High School, Coach Wilke was a four-year
varsity defensemen from 1992-1995. Chris went on to play lacrosse at
Stephen F. Austin State, then with men's league teams Metro and
Tony's. Chris coached for Klein, Klein Oak and the Ironmen. Coaching philosophy/goals: Master fundamentals and execute as fast as possible. Play hard, fast, disciplined lacrosse. |

Coach Mitchell was introduced to the game when a team formed his freshmen year at Tomball High School. After that team dissolved, John joined the Ironmen. In 2006, his senior year, the Ironmen won the South District DII Championship and advanced to the state championship game. He was awarded the teams MVP award that same year. After graduation John played [and still plays] for a local men's club team, and is currently attending the University of Houston. Coaching background/experience: Ironmen JV coach for 2006-2007, Head Coach, Iron Eagles in 2007-2008. Coaching philosophy/goals: "Promote the game of lacrosse and keep the ironmen's tradition of winning alive." |

Coach Sherrod began playing lacrosse in 8th grade for the Iron Eagles. He spent all 4 years as an Ironman under Coach Wilke, becoming a member of the Ironmen 100 point Club and 250 Ground Ball Club. Jacob was the Best Midfielder - JV in 2006 and part of the state champion team of 2007 and runner up in 2006 and 2008.
Coach Sherrod began coaching by helping with the Iron Lions, where his younger brothers played in 2008-2009. He continues to assist with both the Lions and Eagles.
Jacob is a state certified Firefighter and nationally certified EMT. He is currently serving as a volunteer firefighter with Cy-Fair Fire Department while attending classes and working on the application process for the Houston Fire Department.
Coaching Philosophy/goals: To coach every player to the best of his abilities and to instill hard work and motivation in each player. |
